It was a fantastic week for players, staff and coaches at the LFC IA Utah soccer camp - read all about it.

Liverpool F.C. International Academy Utah held one of the largest soccer camps in the history of LFC when over 1,100 youngsters gathered in Salt Lake City and St. George.

The camp was organised to mark the end of a successful first year of operations for LFC IA Utah.

Young players from all age groups were put through their paces over four days of intense training sessions and learned techniques mirroring those used at Liverpool F.C.

Anthony Godfrey, Academy Director at Liverpool F.C. International Academy Utah, said: “It has been a week that our players, coaches and parents will not forget in a long time at our Academy in Salt Lake City and St. George. It was one of the largest camps held by LFC anywhere in the world with over 1,100 players attending.

“The players’ attitude and love for the game was definitely a personal delight and pleasure of mine to see day in, day out.

“Not only have they got a sheer desire to improve their abilities on the pitch, but their work on improving and demonstrating a high level of life skills, competitiveness, winning mentality and sportsmanship is a pure joy to watch."

“The overriding ambition for all our players is to make sure they enjoy their time with us and develop as people, both on and off the pitch. I am absolutely certain that each young person did that at our camp.

“I would just like to thank everyone who contributed and worked tirelessly in making this week a special one for the players. I'm certain it will be a childhood memory that will live with them for a lifetime.”

LFC IA Utah will continue its expansion next month when players from Outlaws F.C. in Ogden join the organization.

Wayne Scholes, CEO of Liverpool F.C. International Academy Utah, said: “Our latest soccer camp proved to be a really positive experience for every single player, parent, coach and member of staff.

“We all benefited from learning brand new techniques and each session in Salt Lake City and St. George was packed with youngsters.

“It is great to know that we held the largest ever LFC camp. It shows that everyone involved in the organization, from the first team at Anfield to youngsters here in Utah, is dedicated to following the principles of The Liverpool Way.”
