Rogers joins staff at LFC IA Utah

Dave Rogers has been unveiled as LFC IA Utah's new Regional Director of Coaching for Southern Utah.

Liverpool F.C. International Academy Utah has appointed former professional footballer Dave Rogers as the organization’s new Regional Director of Coaching for Southern Utah.

Rogers spent four years coaching at Liverpool F.C. International Academy from 2014 and was most recently manager of DSK Shivajians in the Indian I-League.

He has played in the Scottish Premier League, English, Dutch and Irish leagues, as well as the Champions League and UEFA Cup, competing in over 600 games and winning four titles.

The 42-year-old, who starts his UEFA Pro licence this year, will oversee all coaching matters in the St. George area, as Liverpool F.C. International Academy Utah continues to expand.

He said: “I am honoured and extremely proud to be appointed as the Regional Director Of Coaching of Southern Utah at LFC IA Utah.

“This opportunity to become part of an already successful and well-established academy fills me with great desire and excitement.

“I want to use my years of experience and professionalism to further develop an amazing group of coaches and technical staff in St. George.

“I can’t wait to help make Liverpool F.C. International Academy Utah the very best across the USA and continue developing our players the Liverpool Way.”

Rogers’ time in India saw LFC IA DSK produce 20 Indian international players in just three years. In addition, he was head hunted to coach the Indian International team that won the 2015 SAFF Cup.

Previous professional clubs include Dundee, Carlisle United, SC Cambuur, Shelbourne and St Patricks Athletic. He will join LFC IA Utah on 8th April.

Rogers' job titles at Liverpool F.C. International Academy since 2014 included Coach Educator, International Academy Manager, Head Coach and First Team Manager at DSK Shivajians.
