Liverpool F.C. International Academy Utah has been inundated with entries for the organization’s first tournament, as the countdown begins to the competition deadline.
The tournament, open to players aged nine to nineteen, will take place at locations in and around St George, Utah, on February 2nd and 3rd.
Teams have until January 15th to register for the Liverpool F.C. International Academy Utah Tournament and competition for places is already tight.
Entries have flooded in from across the United States – and Academy bosses expect more to follow in coming days.
Daren Woolstenhulme, General Manager of Liverpool F.C International Academy Utah, said: “We only launched the competition in December and there has been a huge amount of interest from clubs across the country.
“We want this tournament to be a celebration of soccer in Utah, while at the same time placing a spotlight on the fantastic group of people we have here at Liverpool F.C. International Academy Utah.
“I want to see as many teams as possible take part and enjoy the fantastic facilities in St. George. The fact that we’ve seen so much interest shows how exciting this tournament is going to be.”
The tournament will take place across a number of fields at the Sullivan Soccer Complex, which is set amongst 60 acres of landscaped parkland in the Washington City area of St George.
Games will also be played at the nearby Little Valley soccer fields.

Registration fees for the competition will be: U9-U12 $400 U13-U19-$450
