Liverpool F.C. International Academy Utah is helping youngsters learn The Liverpool Way at Terra Linda Elementary in West Jordan.
Players were given their first taste of The Reds with the launch of fun football sessions, designed to introduce children to the values of Liverpool FC.
The Liverpool Way is a set of values – including AMBITION, COMMITMENT, DIGNITY and UNITY – that reflect the aims of the world’s biggest soccer club.
Over 600 pupils took part in the training sessions, as the organization looks to expand participation in soccer across Utah.
Matt Brown, Schools Program Manager at Liverpool F.C. International Academy Utah, said: “Delivering our Schools Program to the students at Terra Linda has been an outstanding success!
“Each student was able to get involved in the sessions and really experience the beautiful game and see how fun, challenging and engaging football can be.
“There were smiles all around and the students were hungry for more!”.
Coaches from the Academy were in the school for seven days, working with young players from Kindergarten through to Sixth Grade – a total of 23 classes.
Karen Gorringe, Principal of Terra Linda Elementary, was delighted with the response from pupils and staff.
She said: "Our school thought Liverpool F.C. International Academy Utah was awesome. The students were so engaged and didn't want to leave when it was over.
“They are still commenting and asking when they are coming back. Matt and Hector were so well prepared and planned activities that motivated every child to participate."
